Wrapping Up 2025
What’s left for 2025 and what to expect in 2026
So we’re one week into December and it’s been awhile since I posted a story… Unfortunately, after I wrapped up a lot of commitments I made to hold some events the past couple of months, one of my cats got sick. Now I’m already dealing with a very sick senior cat, so adding another sick senior cat to the mix is a job I wasn’t prepared for. Thankfully, the newly sick one will eventually recover but until then she needs like 3 different medications, while my chronically ill cat also needs 3 medications. And in case you weren’t aware, cats don’t like taking medicine…
Long story short, life got in the way and with the holidays I’m just fucked when it comes to having the mental headspace to write.
So what’s left for this year? I have another recommendations post in the works that I hope to post soon, otherwise, things will be quiet here until the new year.
Before we move on to what to expect in 2026, though, I want to review this past year because it has been quite a year! Here’s some facts:
I had 200 subscribers on January 1, 2025, currently I have 1,094. That’s a 447% increase! Y’all are amazing, I can’t believe the increase over this past year, thank y’all for being here!
I have subscribers from 70 different countries and 46 states here in the US (gonna make it a goal in 2026 to get a person each from Wyoming, New Mexico, Vermont, and Delaware to subscribe—gotta catch’em all!)
I had 328 followers on January 1, 2025, currently I have 1,597.
I made 51 posts this year (52 if you count this one) and the majority were free short stories.
I got around 46k views on my Substack posts.
My most popular post was “Panty Points” with 2,645 views.
I released 3 short stories, 1 anthology, and 1 novella on Kindle Unlimited.
Like I said, it’s been a year and I’m looking forward to another great year in 2026. Here’s what I’m hoping to accomplish:
Finally post the Birthday Beach short story. I got a lot of it written, just need to wrap it up.
Post at least one more part to “Conference Hookup”, though I think I want a total of four parts.
Do something special in celebration of reaching 1k subscribers.
Move “Panty Points”, “Tutoring, Toys, and Temptation”, and “PhD in Love” to Kindle Unlimited as part of my Having His Baby series in January. Then release an anthology of those three stories.
Move “A Knotty Halloween”, “Insatiable”, and “Costume Confidence” to Kindle Unlimited in February—haven’t decided if they’ll be part of a series or bundle yet.
Move “Conference Hookup” to Kindle Unlimited as a novella in March.
Publish the sequel to Dancing with the Mothman on Kindle Unlimited—probably two-thirds is done, just need to wrap it up.
Try to publish a new free short story on here every other week.
Feels like a lot, but most of the stories I want to publish on Amazon are already written or mostly written. So, hopefully it won’t be too bad.
Thank y’all again for joining me this year and I hope to see y’all again in 2026! ❤️
